We financially support the Learned Society of the Czech Republic Award for teachers. The award is given to educators for encouraging interest in science and research in elementary and secondary schools, creating opportunities for students' individual work, and for excellent student participation in competitions. The award includes a financial prize of 100 thousand CZK.
The IOCB Tech Foundation is a partner of the lecture series "Science at the Prague Castle", which features top scientists from both the Czech Republic and abroad. The series is organized by the Prague Castle Administration, the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and Charles University. Our foundation supported it in 2024 with a donation of CZK 800,000.
The "Ask a Scientist" project was launched in 2021 with the goal of disseminating contemporary scientific knowledge and fostering dialogue between the scientific community and the general public. Through social media, individuals can pose questions related to any scientific discipline, and scientists provide clear, peer-reviewed answers based on the latest scientific research. We support the project with an annual contribution of 520,000 CZK for the years 2024–2025.
In 2024–2025, we are supporting the "Roma Scholarships" program by ROMEA o.p.s. with an annual contribution of 500,000 CZK. The scholarships are available through an open academic competition to Roma students attending secondary schools, higher vocational schools, and universities who are citizens of the Czech Republic.
In partnership with the Czech Academy of Sciences, we support its children's groups for children of employees and foreign interns in its research institutes. The children's groups in Prague and Brno offer full-day care for children aged 12, 18, and 24 months, respectively. In 2023-2025, CZK 15 million will be allocated for their operation. This cooperation follows the financial support of CZK 7 million in 2022.
In 2023-2025, we support the Neuron Foundation, whose mission is to support excellent scientists and talented students, develop modern giving and connect science and business, with CZK 4 million per year. The cooperation also includes a joint scholarship program Neuron & IOCB Tech Internships in Israel, which supports undergraduate students in internships at Israeli scientific institutions.
In 2022-2024, we support the activities of Czexpats in Science association with CZK 500,000 annually. The organization aims to connect Czech scientists abroad and with scientists and scientific institutions in the Czech Republic, to support their mobility, to help them find their way in the Czech scientific environment, and to facilitate their return to the Czech Republic.
In 2023–2025, we support the Jaroslav Heyrovský Endowment Fund with CZK 400,000 per year. This follows a donation of CZK 200,000 in 2022 and previous support for IOCB Tech.
For three years, 2022–2024, we support the activities of the Chemistry and Biology Laboratory and other specialized laboratories at the Natural Science Station of the House of Children and Youth of the capital Prague with CZK 400,000 annually. The donation will enable the purchase and servicing of laboratory instruments and microscopes, the purchase of chemicals and their professional disposal, and the acquisition of other necessary materials and literature.
