Together with the Neuron Foundation, we are opening a call for applications for a one-month internship for five leading Israeli PhD students to visit the Czech Republic. In its third year, the program provides housing and financial support for one month, including transport to the Czech Republic, and is available at several top-notch facilities.

  1. Moravian Business College Olomouc, Olomouc. Topics: start-ups, transfer of know-how and innovation ecosystems. Applicant’s background: economics or business
  2. Institute of Mathematics, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague. Topics: constructive methods of mathematical analysis, abstract analysis, evolution differential equations, mathematical logic and theoretical computer science or algebra, geometry and mathematical physics. Applicant’s background: mathematics or mathematical physics
  3. Functional Molecules Research Group, Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague. Topics: chemistry of functional molecules and synthesis of chiral aromatics. Applicant’s background: organic chemistry or biochemistry
  4. Computer Science Institute, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, Prague. Topics: solving open problems in the area of structural ramsey theory and related area of the extension property of partial automorphisms. Applicant’s background: combinatorics, topological dynamics, Fraïssé theory or infinite-domain constraint satisfaction problems
  5. Department of Theoretical Computer Science and Mathematical Logic, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, Prague. Topic: AI planning. Applicant’s background: multi-agent coordination, hierarchical planning or knowledge engineering for planning 
  6. Department of Theoretical Computer Science and Mathematical Logic, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, Prague. Topic: robust machine learning. Applicant’s background: deep learning models for image classification, creating adversarial examples for image classification, creating robust image classification models or experience with adversarial examples in other areas. 
  7. Advanced Biomaterials Group, Central European Institute of Technology, Brno. Topics: advanced biomaterials and development of new nanostructured polymer-composite biomaterials. Applicant’s background: chemistry, materials chemistry and analytical chemistry, biophysics or molecular toxicology.
